Two Fronts, One Fire
Fighting for Tabby’s recovery and for every child left waiting in Harrisburg’s silence.
For the past six weeks, our family has been navigating a storm we never anticipated. My wife, Tabby—my partner, my heart—has endured two strokes. The days have been long, filled with hospital rooms, quiet resilience, and moments that test the deepest reserves of faith. And still, she fights. Every breath, every blink, every movement is her declaration that she is not backing down.
But even as I sit beside her, watching courage unfold in real time, I find my eyes drifting to Harrisburg. The state budget remains overdue. And while that may read like bureaucracy to some, to me it feels personal—because this delay has consequences for kids across Pennsylvania.
I don’t know which fight is harder—watching the woman I love battle for her health, or watching our lawmakers drag their feet while the lives and futures of children are left in the balance. But here’s what I do know: Tabby is giving everything she has. And so should they.
Because every child deserves stability. Every family deserves support. And every moment of delay has a cost far greater than dollars and cents.
So while I sit with Tabby at her bedside, I also stand on the front lines of advocacy. I won't look away. I won’t let the urgency fade. Because love fuels both of these fights—and neither deserves silence.
Thank you for sharing your personal experience and my heart is with your family.
