NO ACTION = LOSS
Every budget season in Pennsylvania starts to sound the same.
Pennsylvania parents are running out of time to sit quietly while Harrisburg decides what stays, what gets cut, and whose kids are expected to do more with less.
Every budget season in Pennsylvania starts to sound the same.
“There is no money.”
“Everyone has to sacrifice.”
“Tough decisions have to be made.”
But somehow those “tough decisions” almost always land on families, classrooms, programs, opportunities, and the people working directly with our kids.
And here is the dangerous part:
most parents do not realize how much trouble is coming until the cuts are already announced.
By then, the program is gone.
The teacher is laid off.
The support disappears.
The opportunity vanishes.
Then everybody asks:
“How did this happen?”
It happens because too many people stay silent while decisions are being made.
That image says it plainly.
NO ACTION =
Funding cuts.
Programming loss.
Teachers unemployed.
That is not fearmongering.
That is the cycle.
But the bottom half matters just as much.
ACTION =
Calling.
Sharing.
Emailing.
Engaging everyone.
No one parent is going to fix this alone.
But hundreds of parents taking small actions together?
That changes pressure.
That changes attention.
That changes political calculations.
That is why WE THE PARENTS PA matters.
Not because it is some giant polished event.
Because it is a starting point.
A place for families to hear stories, support each other, speak up, and remind lawmakers that parents are watching this budget season.
Some parents will go live.
Some will tell their stories.
Some will simply watch and share.
Every role matters.
The people making decisions in Harrisburg count on families being too busy, too tired, or too disconnected to organize.
Let’s prove them wrong.
