Monday Action #7
“Show Up. Visit Their District Office. Let Them See the Families Behind the Emails.”
For six weeks, we have emailed.
We have shared stories.
We have expressed gratitude.
We have invited dialogue.
Now it’s time to take the next step:
👉 This Monday, visit your State Representative or State Senator’s district office — in person.
This is not confrontation.
This is not protest.
This is visibility.
When parents walk into those offices — calmly, respectfully, as families — everything changes.
Emails become faces.
Stories become real.
Your child becomes impossible to ignore.
We are not asking for a speech.
We are not asking for an appointment.
We are simply showing up.
1️⃣ Your Mission This Week
Choose ONE of these:
Visit your State Representative’s district office, or
Visit your State Senator’s district office
If you can take your kids, do it.
If you can take another parent, even better.
If you can bring the whole family, that’s impact.
You are there to say:
“Hi, I’m from the district. I’ve emailed a few times.
I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for your work —
and to remind the Senator/Representative how important my child’s school is to our family.”
That’s it.
Civil.
Respectful.
Effective.
2️⃣ While You’re There
✔️ Introduce yourself
✔️ Thank the staff for their work
✔️ Ask if they’ve received your emails
✔️ Leave a short card or note with your child’s first name and school
✔️ Take a selfie outside the office after your visit
Why a selfie?
Because when dozens or hundreds of parents post:
“Just stopped by my lawmaker’s office today — your turn.”
…it sends a message across the Commonwealth:
We’re real. We’re watching. We care.
And lawmakers absolutely notice when parents show up.
3️⃣ Your Social Media Post for This Week
“Stopped by my lawmaker’s district office today with my family.
We’ve been emailing for weeks — now they know our faces too.
Your turn.”
Short. Bold. Contagious.
4️⃣ Why Week 7 Matters
January is when the next state budget conversation begins.
The cut we fought this year was not the final attack — some lawmakers have already said more reductions are coming.
So Week 7 shifts us from “parents sending messages” to:
👉 Parents showing up, organized, consistent, united.
When lawmakers return to Harrisburg after the holidays, their staff WILL tell them:
“Parents have been stopping in nonstop.”
That matters more than any lobbyist, any press release, any hearing.
This is how real change starts.
5️⃣ Don’t Miss Next Week — January Momentum Begins
👉
Week 8 is when we start preparing for January budget reveals, the Governor’s proposal, and our push for presence on Jan 27.
Make sure you’re signed up.
