Monday Action #4
“Tell Your Lawmakers WHY Your Child’s School Matters — Your Story Is the Evidence.”
We’ve introduced ourselves.
We’ve shown gratitude.
We’ve extended invitations.
Now we do the part only parents can do:
👉 We tell them WHY.
Why your child’s school matters.
Why choice matters.
Why the 25% cut wasn’t just a line item — it hit real lives.
This Monday, we send our stories.
Not long essays.
Not policy arguments.
Just the truth that cannot be ignored.
Because lawmakers can debate statistics.
They can question reports.
They can stall, delay, or spin.
They cannot ignore the lived experiences of thousands of Pennsylvania families.

2️⃣ Your Message (copy/paste or personalize)
Subject: Please hear my family’s story.
Dear [Name],
I’m writing today for one reason:
I want you to understand WHY my child’s school matters to my family. My child attends a public [district/charter/cyber charter] school, and the difference it has made in their life cannot be measured in funding formulas or political debates. It is personal. It is real.
[Insert 2–5 sentences describing your child’s transformation, safety, progress, support, mental health improvement, academic growth, or stability.]
This is why school choice matters to us.
This is why we are so concerned about the 25% cut to cyber charter schools.
This is why we’re asking you to protect the public school options that are working for thousands of children across Pennsylvania. My child’s education isn’t political — it’s their future.
I’m asking you to keep families like mine in mind as the next budget approaches.Thank you for taking a moment to hear our story.

[Town/City]
It doesn’t have to be long.
It just has to be true.
3️⃣ Public Post to Keep Momentum
“I emailed my lawmakers today and shared WHY my child’s school matters. Our stories are the evidence — your turn.”
4️⃣ The Why Behind Week 4
Week 4 is crucial because:
It builds emotional memory.
It personalizes the stakes.
It’s the message staffers remember weeks later.
It’s the message lawmakers carry into rooms we never see.
This is the foundation for the January budget fight.
5️⃣ Sign Up to Stay in the Fight
👉
Week 5 hits the Senate Education Committee.

Yes CCA matters, My daughter was bullied at her brick and mortar school which is Saucon valley here in Hellertown they did not teach her a math science or social studies or reading sometimes the school didn't even want to deal with her they only had her in school for 2 hours and sent her home. Since her being at Commonwealth charter academy she has thrived made the distinguish high honor roll list and I've seen her really grow as a person this was definitely my best choice she's actually finally getting the help she needs. I would never put her back in the torment that she endured.
