Holding On at Home, Holding the Line in Harrisburg
Even in the hardest personal moments, our public responsibilities don't pause.
Right now, my world is centered on hospital rooms, test results, and the quiet space between moments with my wife, Tabby. Many of you know she’s facing a significant medical crisis, and this week—our 19th wedding anniversary—has been marked by ventilators, CT scans, and a spinal tap instead of celebration.
I’m home for the moment, holding it together for the kids, while updates from the hospital come slowly—sometimes too slowly. It's a strange kind of limbo where everything feels urgent, yet suspended. But even in this fog of worry and waiting, I remain tethered to something else I care deeply about: the future of our children beyond our home.
Pennsylvania’s budget decisions are being made right now. That includes critical funding for special education—support that affects thousands of families like mine, navigating hard realities with kids who need more than just hope. I may not be physically present at the Capitol this week, but make no mistake—I’m watching, and I’m urging you to watch too.
Pay attention. Speak up. Push for transparency and equity. I promise you, as soon as I can breathe a bit deeper, I’ll be right back in the fight. Until then, stay loud for the kids who can’t be.
Thank you all for the compassion, prayers, and steady encouragement. It means everything.
